In 2006 Jordan DeMaio "temporarily" left the United States and moved to Rome, Italy. He's still there.

In March 2008 he started a band with the curious name "Vinegar Socks." (Yeah, don't ask.)

A short three months later the band found itself in a competition on MTV-Italy. Some 50 bands entered the contest and when the dust had cleared Vinegar Socks was one of three finalists. They narrowly missed winning the whole contest (links to videos from that competition are in the right-hand column on this page) but came away from it with a sense of confidence and a name that opened doors that most young bands would find closed.

Today the band does outdoor concerts in typically club and outdoor venues all over Italy. Their website is www.vinegarsocksmusic.com.
